Teaching Philosophy

Teaching Statement

As a teacher, I strive to engage, challenge and inspire my students. I am passionate about promoting an interdisciplinary environment and creating learning opportunities for students to expand their knowledge and skills beyond classroom settings while contributing to developing their critical thinking. Throughout my education, I have been a keen observer of my teachers, comparing their different philosophies and approaches, thinking about their teaching methods, and assessing which methods enhanced my learning. My teaching philosophy is centered around three main goals: 1) helping students in developing critical thinking and reflective skills that include an examination of self through writing; 2) stimulating curiosity in learning through an interdisciplinary approach and hands-on experience; and 3) fostering a learning environment based on cultural inclusivity that encourages personal growth. These objectives prepare students to become well-rounded individuals and informed citizens respectful of cultural differences.
